Putting the ALM-X2 into operation – step by step

Once wired according to the connection diagram, the ALM-X2 starts with factory settings and controls the temperature right away. The thermostat is then joined to the Wi-Fi network to enable the smart functions.

Step 1: wire the device as shown in the diagram – it starts with factory settings
Step 2: connect to Wi-Fi – easiest using the WPS button on your router
Alternative: connect through the thermostat's built-in access point
Step 3: open the web portal and set the basic parameters
Step 4: enter the MQTT broker for Home Assistant, ioBroker or openHAB

Does the ALM-X2 work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Without an internet connection the thermostat still controls the room temperature by setpoint and daily program. Only the smart functions are unavailable.

What is the easiest way to join the ALM-X2 to my Wi-Fi?

Using the WPS button on the router. Credentials are exchanged in the background, so nothing has to be typed in.

How do I reach the web portal?

Through the IP address the thermostat receives from your router once the Wi-Fi connection is established.

Which smart home systems are supported?

Any system that speaks MQTT, including Home Assistant, ioBroker, openHAB and Node-RED.
